  1. As I've uploaded a load of files at the same time, here is one file
  2. (duplicated) with all the details.
  3. First, here's a list of file names and sizes:

  14. Here's a list of short descriptions (assume Short: prefixes them all)

  16. BackIcon: adds functionality to the Back Icon gadget.
  17. CLIGuard: desktop interface to modules and *Help, pseudo-hypertext links.
  18. Configure+: extends !Configure to cope with new configure options.
  19. HourExt: turns the hourglass on when a task stops multitasking.
  20. MoreIBar: gives you a second scrollable icon bar for easy access to drives.
  21. MultiObey: multi-tasks Obey files, for e.g. Boot sequences and backups.
  22. ShortHelp: BASIC routines to compress *Help text in modules.
  23. SmartQuotes120b: Intercepts key presses to provide correct quotes, dashes etc.

  25. Here come the long descriptions:

  27.     BackIcon - allows you to move windows up and down the
  28. window stack as well as just sending them to the back.
  29.     CLIGuard - gives you a list of modules, you can do the usual
  30. things with them (unplug, reinit etc.), also get *Help and do various
  31. commands. This may still be a bit flaky.
  32.     Configure+ - attaches itself to !Configure, gives you four more
  33. icons in the main window, where you can set more options (including
  34. third party options).
  35.     HourExt - turns the hourglass on when a task is not multitasking.
  36. Useful for boot sequences, less useful when you're e.g. grabbing a
  37. sprite from the screen ;).
  38.     MoreIBar - a response to the "Scrolling the icon bar faster"
  39. discussion on comp.sys.acorn, this provides a secondary, vertical
  40. icon bar. Mouse clicks work, menus are opened at a sensible height,
  41. file drags from the Filer work (but not from applications),
  42. interactive help works. May also be a bit flaky.
  43.     MultiObey - multitasks Obey files, shows you the current line and
  44. the position in the file as you go along. Good for Boot sequences.
  45.     ShortHelp - a set of library routines for people programming
  46. modules in BASIC, that allow you to crunch *Help messages using
  47. OS_PrettyPrint (and thus making the module smaller).
  48.     SmartQuotes120b - intercepts key presses, providing typographically
  49. correct quotes, dashes, ligatures as well as an easy way to type accents,
  50. fractions and other strange characters. Also correct first-letter
  51. capitalisation, e.g. "THe WRong THing".

  53. They should all go in the utils directory. They're also on hensa and
  54. stuttgart in case anything goes wrong.
